Metalized Plastic D-Sub Hoods and backshells
Encitech Metalized plastic hoods are superior in shielding and performance. Our protective and shielded hoods can be found in various telecom applications where a high demand for protection against EMI/RFI and EMC are nesessary to maintain a fully functional device / installation. The shielding consist of 5µ inch copper, with a protective layer of 10µ inch nickel. The shielding is then sealed with a chrome surface to prevent allergy, corrosion and to get a nice and shiny surface. All our metalized hoods has been tested by Swedish National Testing and Research Institute. Shielding effectiveness exceed 40dB up to 1GHz.
